Position Overview
Urban Bar & Kitchen is seeking a motivated and reliable Bartender/Keyholder to join our team. This dual role combines bartending expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring smooth daily operations. The ideal candidate is a skilled bartender with strong organizational skills, who can also be trusted with opening and closing duties, inventory management, and liquor ordering.
Key Responsibilities

Bartending & Guest Service
- Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with efficiency and consistency.
- Provide excellent guest service by creating a welcoming and engaging environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, following health and safety standards.

Keyholder Duties
- Open and close the bar, ensuring all procedures and security measures are followed.
- Handle cash deposits, end-of-day reports, and secure the premises.
- Act as a point of contact for staff during assigned shifts, supporting smooth operations.

Inventory & Ordering
- Track and manage bar inventory, including liquor, beer, wine, and mixers.
- Place orders with vendors, maintain proper stock levels, and minimize waste.
- Receive, check, and properly store deliveries.

Team Support & Operations
- Assist with training new bartenders or servers as needed.
- Collaborate with management to develop cocktail menus and promotions.
- Uphold Urban Bar & Kitchen’s standards of service and hospitality.

Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required; keyholder or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, and wine.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
- Must be 21+ and possess required state/city liquor service certifications.
